I’ve been sitting with this thought longer than I expected.
For a long time, I assumed that if things felt heavy or stagnant, something must be wrong. It is with my circumstances, my timing, or even me. I treated discomfort like a sign to stop instead of a sign to lean in.
But lately, I’ve been wondering if I quit things right before they start shaping me.
Growth doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it feels like resistance. Like repetition. Like effort without immediate reward. And when there’s no visible progress, it’s easy to label the moment as failure instead of formation.
Maybe my life doesn’t need fixing.
Maybe it needs consistency.
Maybe it needs me to stay a little longer in the uncomfortable parts instead of searching for an exit.

Pushing doesn’t mean burning myself out or forcing a version of success that isn’t mine. It means showing up honestly. Trying again when it would be easier to decide that the outcome is already decided.
I’m learning that patience is a kind of courage. And that persistence, even when it’s quiet and imperfect, still changes things.
So if I’m not where I want to be yet, maybe that doesn’t mean I’m behind.
Maybe it just means I’m still in the middle.
